Increasing population and urbanization brought many environmental problems to the agenda. Most of us do not think about what kind of adventure the waste that is idle and that we have given up on using, but which we bought by paying a certain value in time and left on the streets when we were done, begins its journey to be presented to our use again after it leaves us.
The rapidly growing economy, the change in people's living spaces with urbanization, environmental factors and the parallel interest in fast consumption cause people to produce more garbage than before. In our country, we see that one kilogram of waste is produced per person every day, and when we look at the total population, 60-70 thousand tons of domestic waste is produced.
It is an undeniable fact that making these wastes ready for reuse through recycling for both our country and our people is an effort to ensure that our people become more conscious consumers.
The biggest mistake that best responds to this recycling process and that most of us think is right is the idea that plastic is a harmful packaging, assuming that it takes a very long time for it to decompose in nature. However, biological wastes have been produced and used to enable plastics to decompose and disappear in nature in a very short time (such as 18 to 24 months). Additionally, plastic is the cheapest and easiest material to recycle. This shows that increasing its use will not cause any harm.
Nowadays, people benefit from all kinds of blessings of technology and try everything. But the result returns to nature again, to nature's new term "organic". This process manifests itself most in the food industry. We now see that we can preserve the freshness of the vegetables and fruits we eat long before their season by using storage bags in the freezer sections of the refrigerators in order not to buy them prematurely considering our health, to produce additive-free produce from our own garden, and to be able to eat such foods produced or bought in season without waiting in time.
The packaging industry, which offers such conveniences to our lives, not only creates workforce and employment as a sector that develops and grows day by day, but also promises a stable future by adopting a friendly approach to human health, the country's economy and the environment.
To a nature-friendly future...
